As someone who always had a knack for fine details, she found herself working for dental practices that allowed her to find her passion in the profession. While helping patients understand their accounts better, Joanna found that her knack for fine detail yet again found a new place in the dental profession as a Financial Coordinator. With Joanna as your FC, she will deliver impressionable relationships while assisting you in ensuring financial wellness and clarity on personal and insurance accounts. When Joanna isn't with the team, she is relaxing with her family and new Corgi.

Born in the European country of Georgia, Gio was made for healthcare. With a doctor as a grandfather, there was no limit to the playground of opportunity he had. Gio later became an honors graduate of Georgian State Medical University. With a medical background, his interest in dentistry peaked. The care, attention, and relationship-building of orthodontics eventually won Gio's choice of career. Eleanor “Ellie” is a Manhattan native, born and raised in the heart of Chinatown. She started her orthodontic career as an assistant with Dr. Elliott Moskowitz after completing her orthodontic treatment as a teen.

Seeing room for growth in dentistry, Ellie became a registered dental hygienist (RDH) with general dentists for 13 years before returning to her primary interest in orthodontics. Ellie’s passion and goal is to guide patients through the orthodontic world while maintaining excellent oral hygiene during and after corrective treatment. We have had the best experience with Dr. Karam and Family Orthodontics. My daughter is very sensitive and has anxiety around doctors. Dr. Karam and her team took care of my daughter with patience and caring. Their care is top of the line; my daughter’s palate was narrow and overcrowded and now her teeth are beautiful and I don’t have to worry about potential complications in the future bc of her bite. We love manhattan orthodontics and couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Do you ever wish you could go back in time? Just far enough to redo your dental experience. That’s exactly how I feel about my experience here in my 40's.

It’s honestly hard to single out just one person because every single team member gives 110%, and they somehow manage to do it with real genuine smiles, not the forced kind. You walk in smiling, and you leave thinking, “Well… that was actually pleasant. When do I come back?” Which is not a thought you expect to have about orthodontic appointments.

Everything runs professionally and thoughtfully, with a clear plan and timeline so you always know what’s happening and why. The clinic is fully equipped with the latest technology, and for those of us who aren’t teenagers anymore and may have more “complex” situations, they don’t just wing it. They refer and work with the right specialists to make sure the end result is done right with the full attention your mouth needs.

Speaking of results...I love mine!! I now look for reasons to laugh and smile more, just to show them off. If you’re on the fence, don’t be, SERIOUSLY. This is one of those rare experiences that you'll leave feeling part of a family.

My son Brian has been a patient since 2019, starting with an expander and then braces, and he is now finished with braces and wearing retainers. If you’re going to trust someone with your smile, make sure she’s more of a perfectionist than you are - enter Dr. Mia Karam. Her professionalism and attention to detail didn’t just meet my orthodontic goals, they completely surpassed them. On top of that, she is such a kind person that really cares about each patient. Putting health first, she will never try to talk you into anything that could jeopardize function for form.

The entire staff is absolutely wonderful—kind, welcoming, and impressively professional. They somehow make orthodontic appointments something to look forward to. Every visit was enjoyable, seamless, and I always felt in the very best hands.
